Serves – 4


Wheat flour – 1 cup

Ghee – 4-5 tblspn.

Water – 3 cups

Sugar – 11/4 cup

Almonds, Pistachio (finely chopped) – 2 tblspn.

Saffron – 1/4 tspn.

Tejano - 1/4 tspn. 


1. Place a kadai on a slow flame and add ghee to it.

2. Add the flour and keep stirring this mixture on slow flame till it becomes chocolate brown in colour.

3. Add the water. Stir for 2-3 minutes.

4. Add sugar, tejano and saffron. Stir well.

5. Garnish it with almonds and pistachios and serve hot.

Chef’s Tip

1 tbsp. of gram flour can also be added at Step 2, to enhance the taste of the seero.

 To Serve

Aatey jo Seero is usually eaten with Dar-Pakhwan. It can also be eaten with Pappad or as a sweet dish with a meal.
