MOONGA JI DAR JO PARATHO

Split Green gram lentil bread

Ingredients

Split Green Gram lentil – 1 cups

Green chillies – 2 nos.

Ginger – ½“ piece

Cumin seeds – ½ tsp.

Coriander leaves – ½ tblsp.

Salt – to taste

Oil / Ghee – 2 – 3 tblsp.

Whole wheat flour – 2 cups

Method

1. Chop the ginger, coriander leaves and green chillies finely.
2. Mix all the ingredients together with the whole wheat flour. Do not add water. Knead thoroughly to make a soft dough and divide into 4 portions.
3. Flattens these 4 portions into a circular disc with a rolling pin.
4. On a hot griddle, roast these parathas with oil / ghee on both the sides till golden brown in colour.

To serve

Moonga ji Dar jo Paratho is served hot and goes well with curd, raita or pickle.
