(Carrot & Chilli Relish)
Carrots (large) – 2 nos.
Green Chillies – 10 nos.
Gram Flour – 1 tblsp.
Juice of 1 Lime
Oil – 1 tblsp.
Mustard seeds – ½ tsp.
Salt – to taste
Peel, wash and cut the carrots into thin long elongated strips.
Cut the green chillies into thin long strips.
In a pan, heat oil on a medium flame. When hot, add mustard seeds. Let it temper.
Add the carrot and green chilli strips, salt and cover the pan with a water filled thali.
When the carrots are tender, remove the water filled thali; add gram flour and lime juice. Mix well and allow the mixture to simmer for a couple of minutes.
6.) When the gramflour is roasted, remove. Serve as required.
