(Red Rice Flour Pancake – Sweet)

Red rice flour – 2 cups
Whole wheat flour – ½ cup
Ghee – 2 tblsp.
Icing sugar – ½ cup (for the topping)

  1. In a toap, combine the red rice flour, whole-wheat flour and ½ tblsp. ghee with water to make a thick batter of pouring consistency.
  2. Heat a tawa on a medium flame. When hot, fill up a kevai (round spoon) with the batter and pour it evenly on the tawa.
  3. Add ghee on the side of the spread out batter. This is to prevent it from sticking to the tawa. Cook on both the sides till the Chantaro is golden in colour.
  4. Remove the Chantaro from the flame and immediately sprinkle icing sugar. Serve piping hot.

To serve
