(Dry Cauliflower Vegetable)


Cauliflower – 250 gms.
Potatoes (medium sized) – 2 nos.
Tomatoes – 2 nos.
Oil – 2 tblsp.
Green Chillies – 3 nos.
Asafoetida – pinch
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp.
Red Chilli Powder – ½ tsp.
Coriander Powder – ½ tsp.
Salt – to taste
Coriander Leaves (for garnish) – 1 tblsp.
Garam masala – (for garnish) – ¼ tsp. (optional)


  1. Wash all the vegetables. Cut the cauliflower into florets and the potatoes and tomatoes into small pieces.
  2. In a pan, heat the oil on a medium flame. When hot, add chopped green chillies and asafoetida. Allow it to temper.
  3. When the green chillies start popping, add the cut vegetables, turmeric powder, salt and some water. Mix thoroughly.
  4. Cook till the vegetables are nearly done and add the remaining spices. Mix well and cook for some more time till the vegetables are cooked.
  5. Serve hot garnished with chopped coriander leaves and garam masala.
