Pressed Rice & Potato Cutlet

Pava Batata – 1 cup

Mix vegetables (carrot/ cabbage/ green peas) – 1 cup

Corn flour – 1 cup

Green chillies – 2 -3 nos.

Cumin seeds – ½ tsp.

Oil – 1 tblsp. (for dough)

Oil – for frying


1. Shred the carrots and cabbage finely and mash the parboiled green peas coarsely.
2. In a container, combine the pava batata with corn flour, shredded vegetables, chopped green chillies, cumin seeds, salt and 1 tblsp .of oil with a little water to form semi-soft dough.
3. Divide the dough into 6 – 8 balls and flatten each ball to a round disc shape of 1” thickness. Deep fry these cutlets.

To serve

Pava Batata Cutlets form an anytime snack and are served hot with green coriander chutney or tomato ketchup.
